Sometimes we pray but we do not always realize that even while we pray the Lord
is at work in the situation.
Every week there seems to be a report on the Mexican Drug Trade. Yes, it is still
powerful but progress is being made on a daily basis. President Felipe
Calderon has accomplished more in the last 3½ years than any other president
in the last 20 years...

Good morning everyone,
The Lord is good and worthy to be praised!
I hope all is well with all of you. TLCCM
is doing well and exciting things are
happening. I had an absolutely wonderful
trip in Mexico. It was 17 days of non-stop
work but so very very rewarding.
Upon my arrival in Rosarito,
I worked with Pastor Angel to finish
the last details in the ladies side of
our TLCCM apartment (hanging drapes,
setting up the kitchen with dishes, pots/pans
ect.) before my team of ladies arrived
a week later...

The angels held the
clouds while TLCCM friends & supporters
played golf on Sunday August 22nd.
Afterwards a delicious meal was served in the club House of the Meadows Golf & Country
Club.
Thank you to the local
businesses and individuals that gave
over $4,000 in entry prizes.
A very big thank you to Ritchie and his awesome team of men who made this day
a complete success. It was an absolute blessing for “my” kids in
Tijuana/Rosarito.
Children that are hungry cannot
learn in school.
The lack of education just
continues the curse of poverty. “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold
water to one of these little ones because he
is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will
certainly not lose his reward."
Matthew 10:42
Praise
report: Because
of the awesome success of the
2010 TLCCM Golf Tournament and
also because of some generous
designated offerings during the month of July, the TLCCM
Board of Directors is able
to buy a pre-owned passenger
van for Pastor Angel. Needless
to say he is absolutely elated.
Once more, the Lord has
been faithful to provide for this ministry. PTL.
Thank You!
Serving the Poor Children in Tijuana & Rosarito,
Mexico
In our three Tender Loving Care Children Ministries (TLCCM) stations
in Tijuana and Rosarito, Mexico there is a real need for sponsors for
our Bible
Clubs and Feeding Program. Please help a group of children by sponsoring
one of our stations. This sponsorship will provide each
child in the program with spiritual material on a weekly basis. It
will also provide many needy Mexican children with often their only
meal of the day, on Saturdays and Sundays. Nutritional food both in
the natural and in the spiritual are essential if the children are
to follow Jesus, learn at school and stay healthy. To find out more
please go to our Sponsorship
Programs page.

Our
new kitchen in Centro de Amor
The Lord is so faithful! In 2009 we had a leaking
roof problem in our kitchen in Centro de Amor. But, like everyone
else, TLCCM was affected by the economic downturn. There was
no money to do the necessary repairs.
In January 2010 during a thunderstorm, the wind lifted the
roof and threw it on the ground. After several days of torrential
rains our kitchen was completely destroyed. My team started
to rebuild with cement blocks.
When I arrived on the scene in February, I
was completely shocked to see the primitive state of our kitchen.
Our TLCCM workers were working in a dark room with no running
water and no electricity. Part of the room had no cement floor.
It was actually dangerous for my precious ladies. Pastor Martin
knew that the TLCCM finances were limited, therefore he had
not told me about the “extra
needs” necessary to finish the kitchen.
I consulted with two of our TLCCM Board members who were visiting
me at the time. Renovations started immediately. Water was installed,
the cement floor was redone, new light fixtures were installed,
the room was painted and a metal door and windows were ordered.
Then, the workers were to build new wood shelves to store the
equipment, BUT, in April, the Lord came in to finish the project.
A Mexican non profit organization called Pastor Martin and
asked if he could use some kitchen cabinets!!!!! Within a week
our new kitchen cabinets were installed. TLCCM bought a laminate
countertop. A sink was also installed.
I saw the results of some the renovations before I came home
in late March. But, I must admit that when they sent me the
pictures of the completed project, I sat at my computer and
cried tears of joy. If I had not seen the primitive state of
our kitchen with my own eyes, I would not have believed that
this was the same room.
“Give thanks to
the LORD, for he is good; His love endures forever.” Psalm 107:1(NIV)
Our TLCCM Feeding Station “Centro
Réveil, Comedor Para Niños” continues
to be a tremendous blessing in Colonia Terrazas del Valle in Tijuana, Mexico.
Started in July 2009 with 40 children in attendance, as
of April 2010 we have 160-175 children coming
five days a week for a nutritious meal.
When
a is child is hungry, it is hard to learn.
TLCCM helps ensure that school aged children
in the area are well-nourished and ready
to learn. If their bellies are
full they can stay alert and engaged
in class.
My church, Centre Réveil
International in Orleans, continues to faithfully partner with
me by sponsoring a great number of the
children attending our daily feeding
program.
But, you can also get
involved. Please help me give these
children a better chance of success……invest
in their future. Click here to
get started.
Thank You!
